Christopher J. Burns of Henson & Efron, P.A. Named President of the Minneapolis and St. Paul Estate Planning Council

October 15, 2007, Minneapolis, MN – Henson & Efron, P.A. is proud to recognize attorney Christopher Burns has been elected as President of the Minneapolis and St. Paul Estate Planning Councils. The organizations are made up of approximately 120 members who are accountants, appraisers, attorneys, family office professionals, financial planners, insurance agents and trust officers. The overall mission of the council is to foster understanding of the proper relationship between the functions of professionals in the estate planning field. The council encourages cooperation among its members through the many forums it provides.

As President, Burns will lead the council through supervision and coordination of two meetings per month, a holiday / charity event and an annual golf tournament. Burns will also oversee and update the council's bylaws and work to grow membership by 5 to 10%.

Each meeting of the Minneapolis and St. Paul Estate Planning Councils includes a speaker who covers an area of interest to members. This year the councils will have speakers from various industries covering topics such as Stranger Owned Life Insurance, Appraisals of Art and Changes at the Internal Revenue Service.
