September 12, 2006, Minneapolis, MN – Melissa Nilsson has joined the Minneapolis law firm of Henson & Efron, P.A. as a member of the firm’s family law practice.
Nilsson focuses her practice in the area of family law, including all aspects of marital dissolutions, child custody disputes, and antenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Prior to joining Henson & Efron, Nilsson served as the judicial law clerk for The Honorable James T. Swenson, Assistant Judge of Hennepin County. During her clerkship, she co-authored “Judicial Contempt Outline” with Judge Swenson. She also serves as a volunteer for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Children’s Cancer Fund.
Nilsson received her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota. Nilsson is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Family Law Section, and the Hennepin County Bar Association, Family Law Section. She is admitted to practice in Minnesota.
